South Central Soccer Academy travel teams include U7 – U18 age groups.
Our u7 and u8 program is called "Academy Juniors." Our u9 and u10 program is called "Academy" and the rest of the travel programming is referred to as "Travel."
Multiple teams per age group are formed when possible. Teams are formed with the intent of competing at
the highest competition level attainable for each team. To be on a top-level team in these age groups, the commitment level for the player and family increase.
For more information email our Director of Coaching.
Each June tryouts are held for travel teams. We would like as many players as possible to participate at this level. However, there is always the remote possibility that we will not be able to take all players. SCSA will do our best to place players with teams at our facility.
We understand that some families move or may want to start up playing Travel soccer in the middle of the year. While this is not common, we are willing to receive emails to discuss if there are openings!

Travel teams are a year long commitment for the U7 – U18 age groups. There are two seasons, Fall and Spring with Winter training.
The Fall season marks the beginning of our soccer year and runs from August through the end of October and the Spring season begins in March and ends in mid June.
Depending on the game schedule, practices could begin a few weeks prior to the beginning of the season.
All travel teams will have winter team training sessions! The times and dates depend on the age!
The U15 – U18 age groups participate in the Spring season only, with Winter training sessions beginning after the Indiana High School season ends.
Travel teams typically practice three nights per week during the Fall and Spring season.
Winter training sessions, usually twice night per week, are part of the program.
Coaches are assigned the responsibility to oversee each individual team and to provide the
training and coaching needed during the Fall and Spring seasons. We have a professional staff devoted to player development on and off the field!
Teams play the number of games assigned by the respective league they are participating in.
Teams will participate in tournaments. SCSA provides two tournaments for our teams to participate in.
Nightmare at the Rock in the Fall and the Classic at the Rock in the Spring. Travel teams, typically will participate in a couple of local and out-of-state tournaments during the season as well. The level of participation in tournaments and location is heavily correlated to the level of team and goals they are trying to attain.
